A Stonegate Christmas – Midland

Have you ever wondered wether you prefer hayrides in warm weather or cold weather? Well, here’s your chance to test your hypotheses this weekend. Head over to Stonegate Fellowship in Midland to enjoy hot cocoa, movies, popcorn, and hayrides through the neighborhood to see Christmas lights. Starbright Village – Odessa

If you would rather enjoy Christmas lights from the comfort of your Ford Fiesta, make the short drive to Odessa to take in the wonders of Starbright Village. Located at McKinney Park, 625 W. Pool Road, this is the largest display of lights in the Permian Basin and is open nightly from 6pm to 11pm. (www.odessa-tx.gov)

On The Mark Equestrian Presents

Christmas lights not your thing? Well, nothing gets everyone in the Christmas spirit more than jumping equines (that’s horses for the uninitiated). On the Mark Equestrian is hosting the year-end HiPEC hunter-jumper show Saturday, 8am to 5pm, at the Midland Horseshoe. Spectators are welcome and the event is free. Just be careful if you bring the little ones because there is still time for one last request to Santa. And after this, they will be asking for something that rhymes with norse.
